Multi-residential holiday décor refresh
Background
A high-end multi-residential property was undergoing a transformation. We were called in to refresh the holiday décor to reflect the new modern branding. As the renovation was in progress and property access wasn't available, we developed our concepts based on architect renderings and fabric swatches. Historically, the property had purchased and stored their holiday décor for multiple years, so we explored both purchase and flexible rental solutions to custom tailor a program their fit their budget needs. When working with residential spaces, we value the importance of being respectful to the residents, to remain as “invisible” as possible. We coordinated with the onsite manager for the optimal installation time – when the fewest number of residents would be moving about the building.
The Process
During discovery and discussions, we learned that the client wanted to lean away from traditional colors to mirror their new contemporary design aesthetic. We worked with the property manager to curate three themes - Winter Wonderland, New Year’s Eve, and Holiday Masquerade Ball. The proposal included color studies and applications of the décor to help visualize the décor in the soon-to-be renovated spaces. After a few iterations, we landed on a custom theme of silver, white, and champagne elements to best complement their new color treatments and accessories.
The Final Result
With the refreshed brighter holiday design, we were proud to help contribute and elevate the new modern look and feel of the property. We understand that residential and commercial properties have unique design needs. We feel it is important when working with multi-family spaces, to tap into the community collective feeling – to reach back and reflect pleasant holiday memories. This year was especially important to help provide a feel-good glow during the holidays when the community may be apart from loved ones.
